Lobo von Nelson is a classic looking 4 year old German Shepherd. He has the look of a German import with the straighter back and bigger bone structure. Lobo has the more pronounced curve in his muzzle of the imports . He is in our pack of 40 dogs and does fine, most of the new dogs get picked on a little but no one bothered Lobo because of his size. He is however a gentle dog and is very well behaved. He likes walks and impressed the volunteers how easy such a big guy was to handle. He has a beautiful thick coat. Lobo's family was heartbroken when they had to turn him into the shelter. His owner had underdone a ttransplant surgery and they could not have the dog around anymore. The shelter wanted to make sure Lobo got a good home and contacted various rescue organizations to place him. We feel fortunate to have been able to rescue him. He is a spectacular dog, he will make someone a fine new family member.
